Krysta Bragg

“The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why”-Mark Twain.  I have always felt drawn to the nursing profession, but I now realize that my calling was to become a Nurse Practitioner.  My profession in health care began at the age of 18 as an Administrative Assistant, where I became intrigued by nursing.  Starting as a Nursing Assistant, I grew in the profession one role at a time, with each job a stepping stone to my next objective.  I obtained my Associates Degree in Nursing from Northeastern, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Francis Marion University.  My nursing career consisted of mostly inpatient care where I worked throughout the hospital in a Post Surgical Unit, the Emergency Room, Progressive Care, and Intensive Care.  Wanting to become more involved with patient care, I decided to purse my Master’s degree with a concentration in Family Medicine.  I graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2018 with a Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner.  I am board certified and practice in North and South Carolina as a Family Practitioner and sub-specialize in Opioid Dependency.  Working in health care for the past thirteen years has given me the opportunity to discover one of the most important days in my life, and I am determined to embrace the challenge in order to achieve the depth of my calling.
